About Cooley & Friends
Cooley & Friends was born from a deeply personal experience—the story of my father, Wes Cooley. Dad was always surrounded by friends. He loved sharing stories, praying for others, and being there when people needed him. But when I moved him to a retirement home in Skiatook, Oklahoma, things changed.

In his new home, my father became isolated from his circle of friends, and the loneliness was evident. I couldn’t find anyone to visit him, and I soon realized that many seniors face the same isolation—especially those without nearby family or friends.

After my father passed away, something remarkable happened. At his funeral, people shared how Dad had visited them or their loved ones during tough times—when they were sick, in the hospital, or struggling. They spoke of his prayers, his care, and how he showed up when others didn’t. It became clear to me just how important those connections were—and how much they meant to everyone he touched.

This experience inspired me to start Cooley & Friends. Our mission is simple: to end loneliness in seniors' lives, one senior at a time. We hope to ensure that every senior has someone to talk to, share time with, and build a real connection. We train volunteers to visit seniors in their homes or care facilities, offering companionship, conversation, and support.

We match volunteers with seniors based on shared interests, helping to create friendships that bring joy to both the volunteer and the senior. Just like my father did, we want to show up for seniors and make sure they’re never forgotten.
